Description

This is the grand daddy of  camper van units produced by Zone 2. With its roots dating back to those carefree summer holidays of big road trips and music festivals for weeks on end. Back in the days of having no real home between seasonal jobs and even 8 months of working as a carpenter and storing my tools under the bed in the “garage area”. I already  knew then that one day this needs to be re-created really properly. I sure wish the bed had that extension option way back then. That was after already having tried and tested several other layout configurations in other vans in search of  the ultimate. It’s now been proven that if you’re doing van life on your own a single bed is the way to go to maximize access to storage and have room to move around in your van.

Of course that’s not always the case. Sometimes you meet someone on your Journey, team up to explore for a bit and try not to make babies too quickly. Next minute you’re a couple, oh Jesus that escalated quickly! Fortunately our new design is prepared for those roller coaster rides of life and within a minute a generous double bed is on offer and packed away again for those rainy day van life hang outs with the rad hitchhikers you just picked up. Sofa styles. This is why the slat extension system was created.

But that’s not all the Solo Ranger bed unit has going for it. With USB charging ports and separately switched, garage and pigeon hole lighting you sure won’t find yourself blindly rummaging, half cut at a rave, looking for that hip flask you had to hide to get through the gate. Hell, there’s even lights in the front drawers that complement one of our self contained kitchen units nicely as extra mouse proof food storage (hopefully you don’t get that unfortunate)!

Did we mention yet that the SoloRanger also has an area to house the porta potty that’s accessible from inside the vehicle without having to fold the bed away and is out of sight out of mind all the rest of the time.

This unit works best when used with our “Bed slide cabinet” (sold seperately please see our other listings)

This is because assembly time is a fraction of the manufacturing expense and that difference will get eaten up in the freight charge. You will need to contact us so we can guide you through the measuring up process if you are getting one of our units sent to you. Assembling one of these units is a fun and rewarding project!

Please don’t hesitate to contact us! We are happy to answer any questions you may have about our products and services and to guide you through measuring up your van in preparation for one of these bad boys.
